In December 2018, the German SMA Group announced that its Chinese company had been privatized by a management buyout. Since then, a new inverter brand, Aishiwei, has been born in the Chinese photovoltaic market. In the photovoltaic industry, Ai Shiwei is a special existence, but he has already experienced many battles when he first came out of the world. What independence has brought Ai Shiwei, and what will Ai Shiwei do after independence?

It took nearly 5 months. In April this year, Ai Shiwei completed the equity reorganization and became an independent enterprise. If you look back in the past, you will find that the predecessor of "SMA China", Zhaofu Aisuo, is a local company rooted in China and once ranked among the forefront of Chinese inverter brands.

In 2013, the German SMA Group acquired Megavolt Asso and officially entered the Chinese market. At the beginning of 2019, due to strategic adjustments, the SMA Group split off its wholly-owned subsidiaries in China as SMA China's SMA Jiangsu, SMA Shanghai, and SMA Yangzhong. Six years later, the logo of SMA China faded and Ai Shiwei was formally established.

The establishment of Aishiwei is more like a rebirth after a “travel”. It inherits German genes and takes root in China. At a young age, but with a mature heart, this new company appears to be extremely mature and serious.

Talking about the advantages of independent operation, Lu Ying, R&D director of AISWEI New Energy Technology (Jiangsu) Co., Ltd., introduced, “After independent operation, AISWEI can respond more quickly to decision-making, and at the same time, management costs and decision-making costs have been reduced. Aishiwei will also develop its own branded products to release its corporate vitality, focus more on customers, quickly respond to customer needs, and provide customers with better services."

In the current situation of the relatively sluggish domestic photovoltaic market, Aishi has deployed overseas markets with a global perspective. According to Lu Ying, “Aishwell’s main market focus has always been abroad. The previous zeversolar brand has been well-known overseas, especially in Europe and Australia, and has been well received by customers. Currently, Aishwell will reopen its overseas strategy. With the establishment of subsidiaries in Europe and Australia to provide customers with localized services, Aishiwei has been recognized and expected by many new and old customers in the international market. In the domestic market, Aishiwei focuses on the industrial and commercial distributed and household markets, and its product quality is also deep Well received by customers."

Currently, Aishwe has a full range of photovoltaic grid-connected inverter products from 1kW to 80kW, with a total production capacity of 3GW. The market layout has expanded to dozens of countries and regions including Europe, Australia, India, South Korea, Mexico, and Taiwan.

Independently operated Aishiwei combines the rigorous and dedicated quality of German companies with Chinese wisdom and craftsmanship, and continues to maintain a win-win cooperation with the SMA Group. Aishiwei continues to use SMA Group quality standards and control procedures in product development and manufacturing, and shares some key technologies and patents with SMA Group for mutual benefit. It also follows SMA Group's service concept, professional, standardized, and streamlined product services. After being independent from the SMA Group, AISWEI inherited 38 years of technology inheritance from SMA Group and accumulated 12 years of inverter application experience worldwide, and perfectly combined German craftsmanship with "Intelligent Manufacturing in China" to create AISWEI quality with ingenuity. It has created an innovative way to promote cheap Internet access.

In Lu Ying's view, the German SMA church loves only two points, one is the analytical method of things, and the other is the spirit of concentration. "How to ensure the stable operation of the components in the complex and changeable environment. Through the understanding and analysis of the components and the on-site evaluation of the application environment, it will tell you why you choose such a design, and where there will be problems if you do not use such a design This kind of analysis is useful for life."

Under the value-oriented development concept, Aishiwei pays more attention to product quality. "Winning the market at low prices in the short term is not a long-term one. Inverter companies should be value-oriented rather than price-oriented. We should pay more attention to the cost of electricity per kilowatt-hour in the 25-year life cycle of the power station to provide customers with reliable value protection." To ensure product quality, Aishiwei has made a lot of efforts and attempts. As we all know, most inverters currently on the market have a warranty period of 5 years, but the investment payback period for photovoltaic power plants is about 6 years. In order to provide investors with better protection and avoid the worries of inverters during the investment payback period, love Shiwei took the lead in implementing a standard 6-year warranty in China to ensure stable operation of products during the profit cycle.

From a global perspective, a large number of photovoltaic inverters are facing replacement or renewal. This market has aroused the attention of Aishiwei, and also triggered Aishiwei's thinking about what is a high-quality inverter. In Lu Ying's view, a good inverter should be a combination of performance, reliability, and price. There is a balance between the three. It is a failure to favor either side. In addition, in order to ensure the quality of the inverter, components that are easily overlooked, such as film capacitors and relays, should be more focused. “Some of the components that everyone pays more attention to generally do not have any problems, but these components are easy to be ignored.” Lu Ying said seriously. As the inheritor of SMA's German gene, Aishiwei will rigorously run through all aspects, especially in the new quality control. Each product goes through a series of strict quality inspection processes before entering the market, taking full account of the longest service life that each component of the inverter can withstand under the most severe conditions.

It is understood that Aishiwei’s annual R&D investment accounts for 10% of sales. The inverter uses first-class components in the industry to ensure the life of the equipment and reduce the cost of the photovoltaic system while improving the design efficiency of the entire photovoltaic system. Through more advanced topological structure, continuously improve the power density of the inverter and optimize the process, to realize the cost reduction and efficiency increase of the inverter.

Ai Shiwei, who has returned from his studies, has overcome obstacles along the way on the basis of inheriting a powerful gene. Sticking to the quality and not forgetting the original intention are the parting mantras left to Ai Shiwei by the German SMA. Now, Aishiwei is embarking on a path of its own photovoltaic.
