Development status of vacuum interrupter in China:


With the continuous deepening of vacuum arc theoretical research and the rapid development of technology, the problems that could not be solved in the past have now been solved one after another, thus making it possible to develop the vacuum switch to a high voltage level. In 1980, General Electric (GE) of the United States produced a 168 kV double-break vacuum switch with a breaking capacity of 40 kA. In the same year, Japan's Hitachi Electric Company manufactured a 123 kV single-break vacuum switch with a breaking capacity of 31.5 kA. In 1986, Toshiba Electric Company of Japan successfully developed a 145 kV single-break vacuum interrupter with a breaking capacity of 31.5 kA. In 1990, Russia produced a 110 kV vacuum circuit breaker composed of 4 vacuum interrupters in series, and General Electric Company of the United States later produced an 800 kV vacuum circuit breaker composed of 14 vacuum interrupters in series.


my country has also done a lot of work in this regard, and has introduced a 380 V, 1 000 A, 50 kA low-voltage vacuum circuit breaker with general functions. It is reported that Shanghai Institute of Electrical Apparatus has been organizing efforts to develop 400 V, 4 000 A low-voltage vacuum circuit breakers with intelligent functions, which have the advantages of large breaking current and long service life.


In addition, for the small and medium-sized low-voltage contactors with a large output, a series of fundamental transformations are carried out in the structure to make a miniaturized vacuum contactor with a permanent magnet operating mechanism, which not only has low cost, long service life, but also has a better structure. Compact and smaller. Fig. 9 is the shape of a vacuum interrupter for a miniaturized vacuum contactor. The arc extinguishing chamber exposes all the conventional bellows, and adopts automatic one-time sealing and exhausting vacuum welding in the manufacturing process, which can adapt to mass production, and its price can already compete with conventional air contactors.
