Metal oxide lightning arrester, commonly known as "zinc oxide lightning arrester", is a new type of lightning arrester that was popularized and expanded internationally in the 1980s by countries such as the United States and Japan. It is a product of conventional lightning arrester. After fully introducing this technology in the mid-1980s, China has digested it through years of practice. Currently, the performance of AC lightning arrester from various professional lightning arrester factories is not much different from that of products from countries such as the United States, Japan, and Western Europe. Products that truly meet all the requirements of national standards can also meet all the requirements of international IEC standards.
The core working component of this product is made of multi-element oxide powder mainly composed of zinc oxide, which has excellent nonlinear state safety characteristics, fast steep wave response, and large current capacity. The products with gaps adopt self blowing gap and uniform pressure irradiation structure, which reduces the dispersion of discharge and has a low impact coefficient.

This product model is formulated according to the provisions of JB/T8459-1996 "Method for Formulating Lightning Arrester Product Models", and the gapless product complies with the GB11032-2000 "AC gapless metal oxide lightning arrester" standard; Products with gaps shall comply with the JB Ä T9672-2005 standard for series limited metal oxide surge arresters.
